HUCC partners with South Elementary School in a mentorship program aimed to help at-risk students. Mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed.
Hand2Hand | Hudsonville, MI
Hand2Hand Ministries seeks to be a resource for children facing hunger over the weekend. Hucc partners with Hand2Hand by gathering our own volunteers to stuff backpacks, receive food donations, and bring the backpacks to the schools.
Feeding America | Hudsonville, MI
Feeding America West Michigan works with more than 1,200 food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters in a service area spanning 40 counties in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Through this network, they're able to serve 300,000 people struggling with hunger each year.
Hunger Walk | Grand Rapids, MI
The 5K Hunger Walk raises awareness and funds in response to local and worldwide need. Funds are distributed for pantry assistance, emergency meals, urban gardening, farmers market initiatives for low income people, assistance for seniors and international development.
